Background
Peace Winds Japan recognizes the vital role of driving staff in ensuring safe, efficient, and ethical operations. To strengthen this capacity, a Defensive Driving and Integrity Training will be conducted in Dadaab on 03-06-2026 and 04-06-2026 facilitated by an external trainer. The training will target driving staff, focusing on road safety, risk awareness, and ethical conduct in humanitarian logistics.
1- Objective
Equip drivers with practical skills in defensive driving to reduce accidents and improve safety.
Enhance knowledge of integrity principles, including accountability, ethical conduct, and compliance with organizational policies.
Strengthen risk management awareness in fleet and logistics operations.
2- Scope of Work
The consultant will:
Design and deliver a tailored curriculum on defensive driving and integrity.
Conduct interactive sessions combining theory, case studies, and practical demonstrations.
Provide training materials (manuals, handouts, checklists).
Assess participants before and after training.
Issue certificates of completion.
Submit a training report with recommendations.

6- Consultant Qualifications

The consultant/Organization should possess the following qualifications and competencies:
Academic/Professional Background
Diploma or degree in Transport Safety, Fleet Management, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
Certification in Defensive Driving Instruction or recognized road safety training programs.
Professional Experience
Proven track record in training drivers and logistics staff on defensive driving techniques.
Demonstrated experience in fleet safety management, accident prevention, and risk assessment.
Prior facilitation of integrity and ethics training for transport/logistics teams.
Technical Competence
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations, hazard anticipation, and emergency response protocols.
Ability to design and deliver practical driving simulations and case studies.
Skilled in integrating ethical conduct and accountability principles into transport operations.
Training & Facilitation Skills
Experience in preparing training manuals, handouts, and checklists tailored to drivers and logistics staff.
Ability to conduct interactive sessions combining theory and practical demonstrations.
Strong communication skills, adaptable to both regular and casual staff.

Logistics & Support
The consultant will quote professional fees for the training services.
Peace Winds Japan will provide accommodation, meals, and local transport in Dadaab, as well as travel to and from Dadaab.
The consultant will cover personal items and any costs outside the agreed contract.

This proposal outlines a plan to train 8 drivers in Dadaab on defensive driving and integrity. The training will be facilitated by an external trainer and will combine practical road safety techniques with ethical conduct modules.
