As the Senior Analyst – Financial Services and Reporting you will lead comprehensive financial reporting, analysis, and control functions for the National Office, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight. The position oversees monthly financial reporting packages, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, cost recovery monitoring, and audit support, while producing clear management summaries and leadership-facing reports. It plays a key role in forecasting, strategic and donor reporting, and maintaining high-quality financial data through robust review of general ledger transactions, journal entries, and financial systems. The role also coordinates closely with Shared Services and Global Financial Solutions to strengthen processes and controls, ensures audit readiness and compliance with donor requirements, and provides mentorship, training, and oversight to junior finance staff to build strong budgeting, monitoring, and compliance capacity across the organisation.
Requirements include:
First degree in Accounting or Finance and/or professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Financial Planning and Budgeting in International NGO
Knowledge in Data science and Data analytics preferred.
In-depth working knowledge of accounting software packages; Sun Systems, Vision XL and Vision Executive, PowerBI and Power Apps.
In-depth working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS.
Experience in international grant accounting, proposal budget development and reporting.
Knowledge of how to prepare, review, and present financial statements and financial reports.
Able to perform complex financial analyses.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
Able to articulate and communicate ideas well verbally and in writing.
The position requires ability and willingness to travel locally to the community at least once a quarter.
