Context
Under the overall supervision of the Program manager (MPRR) and the direct supervision of the Reintegration Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the return and reintegration of migrant returnees under the framework IOM’s Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration.
1. Assist in the reintegration process of returnees from European and African countries.
2. Provide general assistance to the Reintegration officer and the project team in the development and implementation of listening and speaking sessions and reintegration projects.
Under the overall supervision of the Program manager (MPRR) and the direct supervision of the Reintegration Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible will be responsible for assisting in the return and reintegration of migrant returnees under the framework IOM’s Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration.
3. Establish a statistical table with a continuous update of returns under its monitoring.
4. Communicate to his hierarchy the statistical tables every month for the follow-up of the service charges including proposals to solve the inconsistencies on the MiMOSA platform.
5. Support supervisor and procurement unit in obtaining pro forma invoices from potential suppliers.
6. Support returnees in obtaining reintegration assistance.
7. Support the supervisor in carrying out administrative, financial and procurement tasks related to reintegration assistance in accordance with the organization’s internal procedures.
8. Create and maintain a filing system for receipts and records, and verify, file and update them.
9. Assist in the coordination of migrant assistance operations with the relevant authorities, partners and service providers.
10. Carry out periodic field visits to assist in setting up and monitoring projects for Senegalese returnees.
11. Carry out all other tasks within the Unit.
Education
• Bachelors or Equivalent or Higher degree in law, sociology, or other related field from a recognized academic institution, and three (3) years of relevant experience in the field of return and reintegration;
OR
• Certificate of completion of secondary education and five (5) years of professional experience in related fields.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
• Experience in effectively assisting actions with other implementing partners;
• Professional experience particularly in the effective application of migration, cooperation and development knowledge in the context of an international organization would be an asset;
• Experience in data management and data analyst is essential;
• Experience in using MIMOSA for reporting purposes is an advantage;
• Experience in reintegration of vulnerable migrants is an advantage.
Skills
• Use of Microsoft Pack Office, SQL server and Kobo toolbox is an advantage
• In depth knowledge of data management and visualization tools (SQL, Power BI) is an advantage;
• In depth knowledge of MIMOSA is an advantage;
• In-depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas is an advantage;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong strategic and creative thinking;
• Efficiency, flexibility, high level of professionalism and ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines;
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;
Languages
REQUIRED
For all applicants, fluency in French is required (oral and written) and working knowledge of English is an advantage.
DESIRABLE
Working knowledge of local languages is desirable
