Location: N’Djamena (approx 30% travel to programme locations)
Salary: Grade 4 (€45,457- €50,509)
Requirements: Frequent travel to Concern’s areas of operation: Sila, Wadi Fira and Ouaddai Provinces (30%)

Role Purpose:
Concern Worldwide is the Lead Agency of an exciting consortium implementing in the framework of the Humanitarian, Development and Peace Nexus. The Programme, “Résilience Economique et Sociale des Populations de l’Est face aux Conflits et Changements Climatiques au Tchad”[1] (RESPECCT), is based on the experience and learning from the former DIZA-Est programme and includes 3 INGOs and national NGOs. The programme’s overall objective is to improve the living conditions and the resilience of the local population, including refugees and returnees in the Eastern Chad areas facing climate change and conflicts (Ouaddai, Sila, Wadi Fira), financed by AFD and the EU Delegation. In this Programme, Concern Worldwide is directly in charge of the “development” Result (Income Generating Activities, vocational training, communities’ yards).
This position demands a dynamic individual with demonstrable ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast-paced environment. The Consortium Coordinator will lead and manage the Consortium Coordination Unit and will be responsible and accountable for the overall management and oversight of the programme. It includes overseeing the grant management and implementation, risk management and financial accountability, donor reporting and liaison, external representation at a senior level, relationship management with consortium members and government counterparts and ensuring compliance with Concern’s and donors’ policies and procedures. You will be also responsible to coordinate with the programmes currently ongoing (PARCA “Projet d’Appui aux Réfugiés et aux Communautés d’Accueil”; HAGUINA; RESITCHAD, etc), and will be involved in coordination with other Concern programs in Chad and with other actors in the same areas of intervention.
Responsibilities:
The job holder will report to the Country Director and will directly line manage a Consortium Finance Manager and a Consortium MEAL coordinator dedicated to the programme. They will be responsible for the technical management of consortium members and will liaise with Concern’s Programme Director, Operations Director, Country Financial Controller (CFC) and HR Manager but will maintain a level of independence of the Consortium Coordination Unit. They will communicate with all Consortium partners in an equal manner and work closely with the Regional Desk as well as relevant technical advisors/ departments at HQ level.
