ACHAP’s current website and those of our CHAs serve as a critical platform for information dissemination, stakeholder engagement, and resource sharing. However, the site requires a comprehensive redesign to enhance its visual appeal and improve backend functionality for easier content management.
Objective of the Assignment
To redesign the ACHAP website and design or redesign up to five websites for national Christian Health Associations (CHAs). Specifically, the assignment will:
• Redesign the ACHAP website to improve aesthetics and visual engagement in line with ACHAP’s brand and mission.
• Streamline the backend interface of the ACHAP website to allow easy updates and content management by non-technical staff.
• Ensure the ACHAP website is responsive, secure, and user-friendly across devices
• Design or redesign up to five national CHA websites, ensuring alignment with each CHA’s branding and mission, and applying best practices in usability, responsiveness, and content management.
3. Scope of Work
The consultant will undertake the following tasks over a 3-month period:
A. ACHAP Website Redesign (ACHAP & select CHAs)
• Review the current website for design, structure, and functionality.
• Propose a modern, user-centered design and improved site architecture.
• Implement responsive design for mobile and desktop compatibility.
• Develop or customize a CMS (preferably WordPress) for easy content updates.
• Migrate existing content and optimize it for SEO.
• Set up essential backend functionalities: media libraries, post types, categories, etc.
• Train staff to manage the new website.
B. Member Website Support (5 websites)
• Engage with five identified ACHAP member organizations to assess their web needs.
• Design and/or redevelop simple, functional websites aligned with each member’s branding and goals.
• Ensure the member websites are visually appealing, responsive, and easy to update.
• Provide templates, backend access, and short guides for ongoing content management.
• Train local teams from each member organization on managing their websites.
Ensure all sites are hosted, secured, and maintained during the consultancy period.
C. Ongoing Technical Support
• Offer ongoing support for troubleshooting, content updates, and technical issues for both the ACHAP website and the five member sites throughout the 3-month consultancy.
4. Deliverables
• Approved mockups and sitemap for ACHAP website
• Redesigned and fully functional ACHAP website
• Five fully developed and launched member websites
• User manuals and admin guides for all six websites
• Virtual training sessions for ACHAP and member teams
• Final handover report with login credentials, documentation, and maintenance guidance
5. Duration and Location
This is a three-month consultancy beginning 1st August 2025 with deliverables spaced across the period. The work will be office-based, with regular check-ins and in-person meetings.
6. Consultant Qualifications
• Proven experience in website design, particularly for non-profit or development sector organizations.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both frontend (design) and backend (CMS) expertise.
• Excellent knowledge of WordPress or comparable CMS platforms.
• Experience working with diverse teams and training non-technical staff.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
