Overall purpose of the role:
The Grants and Partnerships Coordinator supports the EC Youth Programme within the Consortium Management Unit (CMU) in Sudan, which aims to improve the protection, inclusion, and socio-economic opportunities of conflict-affected youth. The Grants and Partnerships Coordinator will strengthen program implementation, donor compliance, partner coordination, and strategic partnerships. This role will report to the Chief of Party – EC Youth Project and work closely with the CMU, consortium partners, the donor, and relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of consortium objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Quality & Donor Compliance
Support the administration and compliance of the program and partners in line with donor guidelines and internal DRC procedures
Coordinate with consortium actors and partners to develop and deliver timely, high-quality donor reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contractual requirements.
Maintain and update the grants tracking system and reporting trackers to reflect programme timelines, deliverables, financial compliance, and narrative reporting needs.
Support the implementation and adaptation of project cycle management tools for use by CMU, programme teams and management for project implementation and decision making.
Lead and assist in the preparation, consolidation, and submission of financial and narrative reports to the donor.
Facilitate and prepare documentation for donor meetings, program reviews, and audits as required.
Build team capacity on grants and project cycle management principles and processes (including donor compliance) across teams including programme and operation staff as well as partner organizations.
Support knowledge management and documentation processes by maintaining organized, accessible systems for core programme and partnership documentation, including key coordination records, agreements, deliverables, and related communications.
Consortium Coordination
Support the Chief of Party and CMU in coordinating consortium partners, ensuring collaborative planning and delivery of EC Youth Programme activities.
Support to the COP in coordination and communication with donor.
Coordinate and participate in the development and delivery of consortium governance processes, including
Steering Committee meetings and working groups
Support transparent and continuous communication and coordination within the CMU including documentation and share-out of meeting notes and action items as well as supporting overarching organizational systems
Partnership Coordination and Engagement
Facilitate partner participation in programme design, context analysis, work planning, and adaptive management processes.
Conduct regular check-ins and monitor partner performance against agreed milestones and financial spending with leading agencies and partners when relevant
Review partner narrative and financial inputs to proposals, reports, and programme modifications, ensuring quality and compliance.
Support the management of Sub-Grant Agreements (SGAs) and contribute and coordinate partner capacity-strengthening initiatives in coordination with relevant teams, as required
Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with consortium and local partners to support effective collaboration and quality programme delivery.
Qualifications, experience and technical competencies
Advanced university degree in International Development, International Relations, Social Sciences, Public Administration or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in grants management and donor compliance
At least 3 years of experience working with NGOs.
Required experience in Microsoft suite
Excellent Communication & Coordination skills both written and oral.
Advanced grant management and reporting skills.
Experience with international institutions/donors’ compliance regulations (especially EU Commission) and grant management requirements
Experience working equitable partnership approaches, capacity strengthening and localization
Experience working and liaising with humanitarian partner organizations
Able to communicate clearly and professionally with different stakeholders
Proven Management and supervision skills, team player and proven commitment to accountability practices.
Languages:
Proficiency in English
Arabic is an added advantage

Conditions
Contract: Twelve months contract with possibility of extension, subject to funding and performance. Salary and conditions in accordance with the Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for International staff. This position is graded at NM.G
