Facilitator: Two-Day Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy Trainings – Nairobi
Target Dates: June-July 2025
Founded in 1991, Secours Islamique France (SIF) is a French-based international NGO dedicated to responding to humanitarian and social needs worldwide. For over 30 years, SIF has provided emergency relief, implemented development programmes, and conducted advocacy campaigns without proselytizing or discriminating against beneficiaries.
SIF is implementing a mission-wide integrated Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) and Education & Child Wellbeing (ECWB) program across Nairobi (Kenya) and Kismayo (Somalia). To enhance household resilience and reduce economic vulnerability, SIF will conduct two-day entrepreneurship training sessions in both locations targeting a total of 60 beneficiaries (20 in Nairobi, 40 in Kismayo), prioritizing female-headed households whose children are ECWB beneficiaries.
The training will use a participatory approach adapted to low-literacy participants. Sessions will include interactive lectures, group discussions, practical exercises, and case studies. Social workers will be embedded in the training to receive a dedicated ToT component on supporting and assessing livelihood interventions.
