WWF International expanded its global Youth Engagement Programme for 21–30-year-olds in 2024. The Programme, which provides internships, youth-led grassroots leadership programme and virtual mentorship opportunities, aims to inspire a new generation of environmental advocates and leaders, especially young women, in their countries and communities to actively contribute to youth and community-led conservation and help drive positive change*.

WWF supports the Government of Cameroon in sustainable management of natural resources and development of green growth to improve living conditions of local communities in the TRIDOM Cameroon Landscape. The department’s mission is to ensure the development and implementation of Jengi TRIDOM programme to the highest standards, in line with WWF Cameroon’s Conservation Strategy.
To strengthen understanding of the local impacts of climate change on communities and ecosystems to identify and promote effective and sustainable community-based adaptation strategies that will support the development and implementation of innovative and climate-resilient income-generating activities (IGAs).

Required Skills and Competencies.
Internal
Maintaining a working relationship and regular interaction with Jengi TRIDOM Programme Manager, Business & Industries Assistants, Collaborative Management Officer and other Jengi TRIDOM staff.
External
Work with local communities, civil society organisations and institutions working on climate change (ONAAC).
