Regulatory Expert Full Time

Sheladia Associates is seeking a professional Regulatory Expert to join our team for upcoming Mueda – Negomano Road Upgrading Project Phase II Lot A funded by African Development Bank (AfDB).

The Government of Mozambique has prioritized the development of key infrastructure including roads in the northern regions to not only connect the region of Northern Province of Cabo Delgado to the rest of the country but also to establish regional connectivity with Tanzania through the Unity Bridge already constructed by the two countries.

Required Qualifications:

·         The Regulatory Expert shall be a qualified professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Regulatory Affairs or closely related field.

·         A minimum of seven (07) years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance and strategy particularly in the context of road project design is required.

·         Strong knowledge of relevant transportation, construction, and environmental regulations and permitting processes will be desirable.

·         The Expert during the design phase will ensure that the project designs adhere to all applicable requirements and will conduct land valuation assessments for the potential road project sites, considering market trends, property value and appraisal methodologies.

·         Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal is required.
