The Programme, which provides volunteering, internships, grassroots leadership training and virtual mentorship opportunities, aims to inspire a new generation of environmental advocates and leaders, especially young women, in their countries and communities to actively contribute to youth and community-led conservation and help drive positive change.

1. MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT
To contribute to the Human Wildlife Conflict (HWC) strategic elaboration and implementation through appropriate monitoring (data collection and analysis), testing of pilot experience for mitigation, that will feed national debate and support decision making processes.
2. MAJOR FUNCTIONS
To participate in all HWC monitoring data collection in collaboration with Indigenous People and Local Communities (IPLC) including preparation, data collection protocol, etc.
3. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Ensure implementation of data collection and management following relevant scientific protocols.
● Ensure proper participation of IPLC in the data collection process.
● Participate at the implementation of Pilot experience related to HWC mitigation
● Participate in periodical planning sessions to identify information needs and provide technical support.
4. PROFILE
Required Qualifications
● Minimum Bsc in biology, environment or any other related field.
Required Skills and Competencies
● Strong vocational interest in nature conservation
● Willingness and ability to work in a remote area with low supervision.
● Field person: enthusiast for long missions in the forest in difficult remote conditions
● Excellent physical condition.
● Basic IT knowledge (Word, Excel, Power point etc…)
● Adaptable, flexible.
● Identifies and aligns with the core values of the WWF organisation: Courage, Integrity, Respect & Collaboration.
