About the job
The GBV Specialist will provide technical expertise in the design, implementation, and scaling up of GBV prevention and response activities, including case management services, Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS), and psychosocial support (PSS). The role ensures that all services adhere to survivor-centered, ethical, and confidential practices. The Specialist will work closely with DRC staff, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen GBV programming and coordination in Somalia.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
GBV Case Management Program Setup
Capacity Building and Training
Program Implementation and Supervision
Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)
Reporting and Documentation
The responsibilities listed in the JD are not exhaustive and may be readjusted according to operational needs but will remain in line with the overall purpose of the role.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have Minimum 5 years of experience in protection programming with a focus on GBV case management in humanitarian settings and Advanced university degree, preferably in Social work, sociology, law, Human Rights, or related field.

We offer
Contract length: 3 months with the possibility of extension, subject to funding.
Band: Employment band non-management G2
Work location: Mogadishu with frequent travel to field offices within Somalia
Start date: 1st December 2024
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for employees on Expat or national contract.
