The Chief Operating Officer position

Location: Accra, Ghana (on-site, with travel) · Type: Full-time · Reports to: Founder & CEO

You will be the CEO’s right hand and the engine of Kaleta’s daily operations. You turn ambition into execution: processes that work, finances under control, a team that delivers and grows.

What you’ll do

• Run day-to-day operations and act as deputy to the CEO
• Own the budget, cash flow, billing and payment collection (mobile money, cards, bank)
• Build and run hiring, onboarding, payroll and HR processes
• Set up the operating rhythm: weekly priorities, KPIs and reporting
• Manage contracts with partners, suppliers and service providers
• Make sure Kaleta complies with company, tax and data protection rules
• Coordinate the teams so that product, member services and sales move in the same direction

What you bring

• 7+ years’ experience in operations, finance or general management, including 3+ years leading teams
• Experience in a start-up, digital business or fast-growing company
• Strong financial skills: budgets, cash-flow planning, reporting
• A structured, hands-on style: you build the process and make it work
• Excellent English; working French is a strong plus
• Knowledge of the Ghanaian business and regulatory environment

Nice to have: experience in HR tech, recruitment or a subscription (SaaS) business; an MBA or accounting qualification.
