Chartered Accountant
Role Summary
Farsight Africa Group is seeking a Chartered Accountant with extensive expertise in public finance management to support the digitalization of tax and non-tax revenue collection processes. The ideal candidate will have at least ten (10) years of experience controlling public finances within the Burundian accounting context and will provide financial oversight, compliance, and strategic accounting support for digital financial systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide expert financial analysis and oversight in the digitalization of public finance management.
• Support the implementation of digital tax and non-tax revenue collection systems.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, public finance policies, and accounting standards in Burundi.
• Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and tax experts to align digital solutions with accounting requirements.
• Develop financial reporting structures and ensure transparency in revenue collection.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and financial performance evaluations.
• Train and advise stakeholders on financial best practices and digital accounting systems.
Job Requirements
• A BAC +5 (Master’s degree) in Accounting, Management, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in public finance control within the Burundian accounting context.
• Experience in at least one (1) project focused on digitalization of internal tax and non-tax revenue collection or a large-scale national project related to digitalization in public finance management within the last ten (10) years is an asset.
• Strong expertise in public sector accounting, financial regulations, and revenue administration.
• Knowledge of digital accounting solutions and financial management software.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and ensure fiscal transparency.
• Experience working with public institutions and financial authorities.
