THE TITLE OF THE CONSULTANT MISSION: RECRUITMENT OF A SOLAR ENERGY PROJECT COORDINATOR IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES “SOLEIL-NYAKIRIZA PROJECT

1. The Government of the Republic of Burundi has received funding from the International Development Association (IDA), and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the contract for a coordinator of Soleil-NYAKIRIZA project.
2. The Terms of Reference for the recruitment of a Sun-NYAKIRIZA Project coordinator are available and can be obtained from the Secretariat of the Directorate General of Energy , Ministry of Water, Energy and Mines; PO Box: 745 BUJUMBURA, Boulevard de l’UPRONA Building NYOGOZI, 2nd floor, Tel: (0257) 22 22 3888 or by following email: [email protected] and [email protected] .
3. An individual consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures defined in the Procurement Regulations for the selection of individual consultants.
4. The application file in hard copy version sent to the Director General of Energy at the Ministry of Hydraulics, Energy and Mines and compounds:

• a cover letter,
• an updated curriculum vitae,
• certified copies of the original of the diplomas,
• certificates and any other document attesting to professional experience,
•  a letter of commitment to declare any conflict of interest before taking up office,
• a copy of the CNI or Passport and much more,
• the candidate must have a clean criminal record and must not have been dismissed from the Civil Service, the Magistracy or a parapublic or private body

5. It is brought to the attention of Consultants that the provisions of paragraph 3.17 of the “ Procurement Regulations for Borrowers requesting financing of Investment projects: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers in the IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants Framework ”, July 2016 Edition (revised in November 2017 and August 2018), relating to the World Bank rules on conflict of interest are applicable

6. Additional information can be obtained at the above address and during the opening hours of the following offices: 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday).

7. Expressions of interest written in French must be submitted to the address below in person, by post, no later than 08/02/2021 at 10 a.m. local time (GMT +2) with the mention: ” Application for the post of Coordinator of the SOLEIL NYAKIRIZA Project “ To be opened only in public session of 08/02/2021 ”, at 10:30 in the morning .
