
I am a well-qualified having MA in Project Management, BA in Sociology and Social work , BED in History, with training in Humanitarian Program Cycle (HPC), DRM, UNDSS security training (BESAF, Media Monitoring, SSFE), and and Certified Social problem analyst with 15 years professional experience in the capacities of Humanitarian affairs, Emergency Response, Disaster Risk Management & Social Development Programs coordination on Regional, and Federal level under UN agencies and other INGOs with high-level recognition certificates.
Recently, I am Disaster Risk Management Specialist for USAID/Ethiopia under Headlight consulting service, concentrating on stakeholders’ collaboration and relationships. I was worked as Humanitarian Affairs Officer (Regional coordinator) for UNOCHA from 2018 mainly strengthen the coordination capacity of the government through the cluster approach to achieve a scalable and effective humanitarian response.
I also worked as Emergency C4D Advisor UNICEF, focusing on strategy building and joint preparedness planning in humanitarian response during DRM interventions. I was operated for World Vision international as Program coordinator, Team leader in ACF-USA on drought & resilience program.
Over 15 years of experience focused on Humanitarian coordination, DRM advising, Consultation on aid effectiveness, and Clusters assessment facilitation at National and sub-national levels. And Government liaising, and collaborations. I have field and professional experience throughout Gambella (South Sudan refugee support), Somali region (Refugees from Somalia), and Ethio-Kenya border across Borena drought and IDPs support with over years living in a fragile context to support humanitarian coordination.
Besides this, I am compiling several reports, rapid assessment files, and review meeting notes, coordination minutes, and share with sectorial for decision making and data availability which is similar with this position
