Assistant Education Specialist

·         Establish and manage a portfolio of private school clusters, a maximum of 13 networks of affordable private schools with an average of six schools per cluster. Facilitate regular cluster meetings (nine per cluster per academic year) to train school leaders and teacher mentors on best practices as outlined by established criteria.

·         Conduct digital-based reporting and data collection on all program activities using mobile tablets. Encourage Joint Practice Development (subject specific training of trainers within clusters) so that innovations and best practices become embedded within teaching practices.

·         Support school leaders and teachers in completing school self-assessments and development plans against established domains of education quality outlined in Pathways to Excellence, a school development planning manual.

·         Developed successfully Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) for the Academy. Liaised with vocational institutions in Accra to ensure job placements were done for trainees. Developed a standard training curriculum and materials for the training of Housekeepers, Nannies, Caregivers, Cooks and Chefs.

·         Applied both traditional and non-traditional learning methods to suit trainees who have not had formal education. Developed training assessment materials for facilitators for the skills training of Housekeepers, Caregivers, Nannies, Cooks and Chefs.

·         Partnered with institutions for trainees to undertake attachments. Worked closely with local NGOs to recruit and train girls who were head potters in the central Business city of Accra. Monitored trainees after three months of successfully completing their studies.
