– Project Manager of office of the commissioner for refugees, EASTERN SUDAN – 1985.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Prepare and formulate the guidelines for refugees needs.
– Prepare the budget based on assessments of sectors needs such as water sanitation, health, education, shelter and food in consultation with UNHCR and technical departments.
– Monitor and evaluate the implemented Projects.
– Identify and specify the project actual beneficiaries.

• Shoulder administrative responsibilities of refugees caseload.
• Solve any administrative problem or crisis within the areas.
• Implement UNHCR approved annual budget for the projects consisting of health, education, water sanitation, and community development.
• Closely follow-up, monitor and write periodical progressive reports on the rate of implementation.
• Liaise between the commissioner for refugees office and local authorities in any problem or issue that needs to be tackled or solved.
• Coordinate and maintain relationship with international NGOs that works in the field of health and other sectors.
Repatriation Coordinator:
Duties and responsibilities:
• Prepare and discuss budget requirements with UNHCR for the repatriation operation for Ethiopians & Eritreans refugees.
• Coordinate all repatriation activities among technical sectors and departments who are involved in the repatriation operation.
• Follow up all the necessary steps for the repatriation and make sure the operations are closely adhered to the rules and conducted as stated in the guidelines as agreed by the three parties (the governments of SUDAN, Ethiopian, Eritrean and UNHCR.
• Work closely with local authorities in eastern Sudan so that the repatriation operation can run in a smooth way across the borders and without any complications that endanger refugees lives.
• Attend all technical tripartite meeting between government of SUDAN, Eritrea state and UNHCR for drafting preliminary guidelines which should be adopted during the implementation of the repatriation activities.
• Follow up the implementation of the repatriation and make sure that funds are utilized for the purpose which were allocated for.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Analyze emergency situation, assess needs and prepare budget accordingly.
• Follow up the implementation of the budgets.
• Alleviate any field problems and work hand in hand with COR heads of sectors.
