Individual Consultant to Conduct Regional Workshop on Systems of National Accounts (SNA 2025) as a Resource Person
The SADC Secretariat, through the SADC Regional Statistics Project (RSP, P175731) funded by an IDA/World Bank grant, seeks an individual consultant to serve as a resource person for a regional workshop on Systems of National Accounts (SNA 2025), supporting harmonisation of national accounts statistics across SADC Member States. The objective is to enhance technical capacity of National Statistics Offices in SNA 2025 concepts, definitions and standards, and to produce an action plan per Member State evaluating readiness for migration to SNA 2025. The assignment runs for 90 calendar days and involves travel to the workshop venue. Required qualifications: a master’s degree in statistics, economics, or a related field; a minimum of 20 years of experience in national accounts statistics at national and/or international level; at least 10 assignments involving SNA 2008 implementation technical assistance; at least 3 assignments in GDP rebasing; and at least 3 assignments as a resource person delivering regional national accounts training in Africa. Selection follows the Individual Consultant Selection Method under the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (September 2023).
