Expert 7: Pool 3 with 8 Experts in Conflict Resolution and Prevention with National Experience
Tasks of Expert 7:
- Design, facilitate, and document training for members of local Natural Resource Governance (NRG) structures on developing local agreements (e.g., local conventions).
- Design, facilitate, and document training for members of local NRG structures and other relevant stakeholders on conflict resolution, with a specific focus on NRG.
- Design, facilitate, and document training for members of local NRG structures and other stakeholders on disaster risk management (DRM).
- Design, facilitate, and document peer learning workshops for members of NRG structures from different sites, potentially including participants from other SARES countries.
- Design, facilitate, and document community dialogues aimed at identifying local “connectors” and “dividers” (following the “do no harm” principle) and propose measures to address them (strengthening the “connectors” and/or weakening the “dividers”).
Qualifications of Expert 7:
- Education: University degree (bachelor’s) in social, political, or economic sciences.
- Language: Proficiency in French (C1) according to the CEFR.
- General Professional Experience: 5 years of professional experience in peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
- Specific Professional Experience:
- 3 years of professional experience in natural resource governance (NRG).
- 3 years of professional experience in disaster risk management (DRM).
- Experience in West Africa: 3 years of professional experience in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, or Chad.
- Development Cooperation Experience: 2 years of experience in development cooperation projects.
