Background
Nomadic Assistance for Peace and Development is implementing the 2026 phase of the DANIDA Civil Society Engagement Program, which focuses on strengthening institutional sustainability through Responsible Transition Planning (Output 2) and Learning & Visibility (Output 3).Under Output 2, NAPAD seeks to enhance its digital and innovation‑focused resource mobilization capacity by equipping staff with practical skills to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) responsibly in programme design, donor intelligence, and digital fundraising. The consultancy will support Activity 2.2, which commits to delivering two three‑days AI‑driven capacity‑building training for programme, resource mobilization, and MEAL staff.
Purpose of the Consultancy
To strengthen NAPAD’s technical positioning, competitiveness, and innovation readiness by training staff on responsible and practical use of AI tools for:
Proposal development
Donor intelligence and scanning
Digital fundraising
Innovation‑focused programme design
Ethical and responsible AI use (data protection, bias, transparency)
Objectives of the Training
The consultant will support NAPAD to achieve the following:
Enhance staff capacity to use AI tools for high‑quality, competitive proposal design.
Improve donor intelligence scanning through AI‑supported landscape analysis.
Strengthen capacity to design and run AI‑enhanced digital fundraising campaigns.
Build staff skills in responsible, ethical, and safe AI use, aligned with global standards.
Contribute to NAPAD’s institutional readiness for innovation‑focused global challenge funds, including those prioritizing AI in WASH, MCH/Nutrition, climate resilience, food security, and cross‑sectoral innovation.
Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for responsible and ethical AI use.
Scope of Work
The consultant will carry out the following tasks:
A. Pre‑Training Preparation
Conduct a rapid needs assessment with selected staff.
Review NAPAD’s fundraising tools, digital systems, and proposal workflows.
Develop a tailored training agenda curriculum aligned with DANIDA Output 2.
Deliverables: Training curriculum and schedule.
B. Training Delivery
Training modules will, at the least, include the following:
Introduction to AI for Development & Humanitarian Work
AI basics and applications
Role of AI in global funding trends
Relevance to emerging innovation‑focused calls

Generating campaign content
A/B testing with AI
Developing fundraising visuals and messaging
Supporting NAPAD’s Global Giving and M‑Changa pathways
Developing SOPs for Responsible Use of AI
Ethical framework
Internal guidelines for proposal development
Approval procedures
AI use standards for MEAL, programme, and fundraising teams
Deliverables: 3 days training materials including slides and handouts.
C. Post‑Training Support
Coach a small AI Champion Group to support internal roll‑out.
Support drafting/validation of SOPs.
Provide templates, tools, and AI‑assisted workflows for staff.
Deliverables: AI‑assisted templates for (Proposal writing, Donor intelligence, Digital fundraising content), Training completion report including (Participant feedback (≥80% satisfaction required), Recommendations, Summary of learning outcomes, Photos).

Consultant Qualifications
Proven experience training NGOs on AI use in development or humanitarian contexts.
Strong background in resource mobilization, proposal design, and donor intelligence.
Demonstrated expertise in digital fundraising.
Knowledge of AI ethics, responsible AI, and data protection.
Strong facilitation and capacity‑building experience.
Ability to design practical templates, workflows, and SOPs.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
