Specify technical training room equipment for a photovoltaic up-skilling course in Egypt and assist in selecting trainers

Internationaler Bund e.V. (IB) together with IHK-Projektgesellschaft Ostbrandenburg gGmbH (Chamber of Commerce) has been implementing a Partner Africa project on behalf of the BMZ in Egypt since December 2022. The project “Skills4Trends” is commissioned by sequa gGmbH and will run until the end of 2025. The project aims to promote together with two Egyptian partner organisations decent work and employment through training geared to future technological labour market trends and needs, incubation and partnerships with companies in the northern and Delta regions of Egypt.

For the implementation of the project, IB is looking for a qualified short-term expert (STE) with experience in specifying technical equipment for a classroom based photovoltaic course and in interviewing and selecting participants of a photovoltaic ToT course.

Scope of the assignment:

• Define the physical requirements for selecting a training room to carry out a basic photovoltaic course for a class size of up to 20 students
• Specify the technical equipment for setting up two training rooms (one at each Egyptian partner organisation) for a basic (up-skilling or re-skilling) training course in photovoltaic in consultation with the Egyptian partners
• Interview up to 20 pre-selected Egyptian candidates to be trained as trainers for basic photovoltaic courses together with the national project team leader and representatives of the Egyptian partner organisations
• Advise on the final selection of 12 trainers to receive a ToT course on photovoltaic within the frame of the project
