Short Term Experts- Business Management/Employment promotion/Green sector Full Time

Background

The Private and Financial Sector (PFS) is a GIZ funded project aims to improve the employment situation in the micro, small and medium-sized companies in selected regions of Ghana.

We are looking for International and National Short Term Experts for an Expert Pool.

Job Description

Your tasks:

• Plan and conduct a thorough needs assessment of regional networks and MSMEs; identify significant gaps and suggest various recommendations for improvement
• Conduct a brief evaluation of the regional networks, and further provide recommendations on the effectiveness and efficiency of the networks
• Capacity building and training for national service for employment services/employment promotion and migration sector as well as for MSMEs
• Provide advisory support to MSMEs to develop bankable business plans and technical support in the form of trainings to financial institutions on knowledge on green investment/ technologies
  
• Advise and support in the design of MSME competitions including the identification of priority sectors and setting of appropriate criteria for qualification for applying companies

Candidate’s Profile

Your Profile:

• A university degree (Master’s) in Business Development, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Green Finance, Labour Migration, Employment Services, Economics, Organisational Development, Engineering or any other related field.
• Language: all experts with knowledge of English, C2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Language
  

General professional experience

• For international pool: 9 years of professional experience in Green finance/Business/Enterprise development/Organisational Developmentand of which 5 years in developing countries including Africa.
• For national pool: 7 years of professional experience in Business/Enterprise Development in the private sector in developing MSMEs; or in Ghanaian Labour Market Systems; or experience in green sectors such as renewable energy, waste management, resource efficiency, energy efficiency climate smart agriculture, or circular economy.

Specific professional experience

• For international pool: 10 years of professional experience in supporting public and private sector in setting up self-sustaining networks made up of financial, business development and employment service providers; or in financing projects in green sectors such as renewable energy, waste management, resource efficiency, energy efficiency, climate smart agriculture, circular economy or others.
• For national pool: 10 years of professional experience in Business/Enterprise Development in the area of Private sector development; mentoring and coaching for micro and small businesses; or
• experience in the development and technical due diligence of green projects; or experience in labour market systems, with key areas such as public employment services sector and in legal and irregular labour migration.
  Additional Experiences (only for international pool): 3 years of training experience or work experience in Africa, Asia, or Latin America and minimum 5 years of experience in Development Cooperation.
