Consultant: Editor for a Peace Project Consultancy

We are looking for a consultant to produce a report based on mapping data and research into conflict and peacebuilding which has been carried out in Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali and Pakistan. The research has been carried out as part of a project managed by Peace Direct entitled ‘Youth Action for Peace’.

This consultancy involves producing a report based on mapping and research findings from Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo Mali and Pakistan. Research in the four countries has been led by different organisations in contexts that are extremely varied. The report should also bring original thought, highlight key findings, challenges and discrepancies with existing literature. The report should also include a short contextual background on youth and peacebuilding.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Excellent writing skills in English;
• Excellent analytical and research skills;
• Previous experience of analysing information and synthesizing it in into a report;
• Ability to speak and read French;
• Experience and knowledge of the peacebuilding sector;
• Knowledge of the Youth, Peace and Security topic;
• At least five years of relevant editorial experience.
