About Me

 

I am a Zambian male with a Master’s degree in Project Management from Atlantic International University, A Bachelors degree of Mineral Science with specialization in Mining Engineering from the University of Zambia, and certificate in The Business of Mining from Curtin University and a certificate in Cybersecurity Fundamentals from Rochester Institute of Technology.

 

I am a multi-skilled Mining Engineer and Project Tactical Planner who’s worked in both the private and the public sector.

 

As a Mining Engineer working for Lumwana Mine under Barrick gold Cooperation, I coordinated a team of skilled Engineers and was responsible for a successfully development of a comprehensive drill and blast processes, database and result output. The major improvements spearheaded while working for lumwana Mine where; improved fragmentation results through a detailed post blast analysis and spearheaded a project of reducing the mine’s drill capacity from a 2 drills per shovel to a 1 drill per shovel mine, successfully managed the wet weather projects on haul road construction and maintenance for the period 2013-2014, Successfully supervised the construction of a Coffer dam are the Chimiwungo open pit and successfully completed the dump rehabilitation projects of Malundwe dump sites..

 

In my current role as a Regional Manager for Zambia Metrology Agency under the Ministry of Commence Trade and Industry, am in charge of coordinating a highly skilled work force comprising of Chemical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Metallurgists and Physicist with whom as a team we are tasked in ensuring that the Metrology Act No. 6 of 2017 of the Laws of Zambia is fully enforced. The major achievements I’ve contributed to the Agency is the development of a Metrology work database and tracking systems which has increased the efficiency of the individual Metrologists. This has resulted into the whole Agency becoming more productive. The development of the metrology database has also improved the reporting standards with respect to validated and trusted performance numbers for the Agency.

 

With the combined experience from both the private and public sector as stated above and considering my vast knowledge and experience which range from operational planning, fleet management to decision making, I know am the right person for the position, as am a dynamic mining engineer, tactical planner and self-motivated leader who can function in any disciplines within the engineering and planning sectors. With this broad knowledge, I believe I have the right set of skills it takes to contribute positively to the growth of the company
