About Me

Through my leadership Getbucks Malawi became one of the biggest Microfinance Entities in Malawi, with a customer base of 120,00 customers with a loan book value of 8.8 Billion Kwacha. Serving the unbanked clients in Malawi. With 300 Agents who operated a Fintech model to acquire, screen and approve clients. Getbucks became one of the biggest Household brands in Malawi, further promoted to CSI involvement with the Malawi Police Services and various charities.

During my time in the Getbucks Group I served as the East Africa Regional Executive, during the acquisition of Opportunity International in certain of the countries, I had the privilege of traveling East Africa with investors/donors who are passionate about “Poverty Alleviation”. I have served on the Boards of Uganda GB, GB and Opportunity International Kenya Board, Opportunity International Tanzania Board and the local board of GB Malawi.

I have more than 12 years of Management Leadership Experience in Micro-finance/Operations/Outsourcing/Retail and extensive experience in East Africa with regulators and key stakeholders. During my time Blue Financial Services, I was key to the steering Group in Tanzania to formulate the MFI Act of Tanzania

Prior to GB Malawi, under my leadership I was the CEO of Blue Financial Services and served on the Board, during this time I was in negotiation phase of the deduction code freeze on all MFI’s in Malawi, with the Malawi Government.

I have extensive experience in East Africa –  financial management, startup management, risk analysis, risk management, human resource development, credit management, policy and procedure mapping and design, innovative Fintech transformation and corporate governance. I have extensive experience with the integration platforms with MNO’s and Fintech Service providers through Mobile Transacting, USSD.

I assume responsibility and authority in my area of competence and expertise.
