Work Experience

1.       Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Manager (ZNNP+) -01 Jul 2021- Present.

·         Lead the design and implementation of the project’s monitoring and reporting activities, including development of the project’s results framework and Performance Monitoring Plan.

·         Tracking of project indicators, oversight of routine data collection and data management, data quality assessments (DQA) and synthesis of data.

·         Leading and shaping M&E, research and learning efforts and activities for all ZNNP+ programmes.

·         Promote all aspects of MEAL to support the creation of an organizational culture which prioritizes quality programming, program accountability (including developing program accountability mechanisms) and evidence-based data use in decision making.

·         Researching, compiling, writing narrative and statistical reports, and submitting information and responding to requests for data from donors and other stakeholders.

·         Collaborate and coordinate with the different entities within the ZNNP+ and consortium partners to create synergies, ensuring alignment and maximizing effective use of resources.

Position Details

·         Designed and refined programme Theory of Change, Result Based Management, and logical framework for proposed projects and those in progress.

3.       Data & Information Manager (University of Zimbabwe-Clinical Research Centre: Jan16 – Jan18)

UZ-Clinical research implements HIV prevention and treatment research through international consortium partners.

Position Details

·         Worked closely with the Project Coordinators, Principal Investigators, and other staff to develop and implement data collection, data quality tools, M and E activities and processes for all the project to ensure timely reporting of services.

·         Developed and designed an M & E framework, which quantifies data quality and verifies usability of the data.

·         Oversaw data quality management, data security through building capacity of officers in collecting quality data.

·         Ensured data collection is in line with funding mechanism standards and requirements; and that data is saved and stored in line UZ-CRC procedures and requirements.

·         Designed and adaptively managed and reported on the MEL Plan using Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) approaches.

·         Performed data analysis, cleaning and reporting using statistical packages like STATA, SPSS and DHIS2.

·         Created dashboards and visualizations to track projects performance vs targets.

·         Contributed by making presentations and documentation of programme activities at weekly and monthly meetings.

4. Research Data Manager -University of Zimbabwe-UCSF Collaborative Research (2004 -Dec 2015)

Responsibilities

·         Developed, oversaw, organized, stored, and analyzed data and data systems for randomized research protocols in HIV prevention, treatment, and care.

·         Assisted the Project Director with development of the M&E Plan for the project, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management.

·         Analyzed large data sets from different research protocols through creating and merging multiple datasets.

·         Maintained one overall database and closely worked with relevant research data officers to capture and input relevant data from each of the research protocol.

·         Ensured accurate and consistent inputting of data received from various research protocols into the database.

·         Worked with program coordinators, international statistical centers to capture, share and release relevant clinical health information periodically and systemically for continuous program component review, planning monitoring and evaluation.

·         Participated in the review of clinical research documents (e.g. SOPs, Case Report Forms, Reports and Statistical analysis).

·         Developed a data management plan (DMP), maintained the DMP throughout lifecycle of study project and ensured the DMP is followed according to study design and requirements.

·         Ensured data system compliance by following the established guidelines of national and international regulatory authorities.

·         Ensured that data officers are aware of the best practice on data security, data sharing policies, and utilization.

5. Systems Administrator (IGI Insurance Nov 2002-Feb 2004)

–        Overseeing all functions of the ICT unit. Ensuring the database is well secured, faulty equipment is repaired and procurement of ICT equipment to ensure smooth functioning of the IT unit

Research, Evaluation, and Innovations.

·         Carried out a study titled: A discrete choice experiment on DSD preference by people living with HIV.

·         Carried out Client satisfaction survey on HIV services at 317 facilities in 5 Provinces of Zimbabwe

·         Led the M & E and data collection component of the Zimbabwe National Stigma Index survey 2.0, 2022.

·         Led an evaluation on the impact of user fees to service access by people living with HIV in 2022.

·         Led a baseline evaluation on the understanding of community led monitoring in 5 provinces of Zimbabwe in 2021

·         A baseline survey on community systems strengthening to find, link and retain children and young adolescents living with HIV in 4 districts of Zimbabwe.

·         Led a midterm graduation benchmark evaluation for households and individuals for an OVC project in 9 districts, 2020.

·         Led a validation exercise for beneficiaries being transferred from other partners in 2018.

·         Designed a call centre for PLHIV that provide virtual counselling, doctor consultation and general information.

·         Setup a community led monitoring system for people living with HIV to provide feedback on service delivery through monthly client satisfaction surveys with Realtime visualisation dashboard.

·         Developed case management systems for longitudinal and cross-sectional data collection for OVCs and their caregivers.
