Chemonics International Inc, a U.S. based international development consulting firm, seeks a Regional Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Coordinator – Rukwa for the USAID Lishe (Nutrition) project. The five-year project aims to strengthen health and food market systems that promote the adoption of optimal nutrition-related behaviors across a range of stakeholders in targeted regions in Tanzania. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. This long-term position will be based in Sumbawanga, Tanzania.
The Regional MEL Coordinator – Rukwa will play a crucial role in supporting MEL and Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) initiatives within the Lishe focus region of Rukwa. As the coordinator, they will provide guidance and support to regional technical coordinators, ensuring effective data collection and the implementation of MEL and CLA systems and practices. They will be responsible for standardizing appropriate methods for data collection and ensuring that the indicators and results are reported per the USAID Lishe (Nutrition) Project MEL plan. They will organize and implement data collection and tracking tools for survey data, results, and progress information; conduct regular data quality assessments; integrate CLA principles throughout implementation; and collect lessons learned and success stories during project implementation. The Regional MEL Coordinator – Rukwa will be supervised by the MEL/CLA Manager in the Dar es Salaam.
