World Vision International is strengthening its global Staff Care & Well-being approach to ensure that staff are supported not only through formal services, but through cultures of trust, connection, and relational care.
We are seeking a Technical Specialist, Relational Well-being to strengthen the relational foundations that enable staff to feel seen, heard, and supported across diverse organizational contexts.
This role focuses on strengthening peer support networks, supporting relational repair when trust has been strained, and embedding relational well-being into everyday organizational life. The position works closely with regional and national colleagues to support locally grounded approaches that strengthen trust, belonging, and collective resilience.
This is not solely a technical or programmatic role. It requires deep relational intelligence, cultural humility, and the ability to work alongside colleagues in complex environments with care and credibility.
Location: Any country where WVI is registered to operate
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Relational Care System Design
Develop frameworks and practices that strengthen trust, belonging, and relational repair
Provide guidance on integrating relational well-being into policies and practices
Partner with HR, Comms, and SSR to embed relational approaches in team culture and leadership development
Staff Support & Informal Systems Strengthening
Support regions to sustain and adapt peer support networks
Facilitate learning and skill development for staff support functions and facilitators
Promote informal practices that sustain connection and community
Organizational Healing & Crisis Response
Provide technical input into crisis response where relational repair is needed
Support healing processes following organizational ruptures or change
Collaborate with leaders to address issues of trust and institutional betrayal
Learning & Knowledge Management
Document and share lessons from relational care practices
Contribute to communities of practice on relational well-being and trust-building
Support research and innovation in relational and peer-based systems
Self-directed learning to maintain currency on industry trends, research, practices and key actors in training, communications, and staff well-being.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Specialists in Change, Work Design, and Mental Health on integrated approaches
Partner with Risk and Emergency teams to align relational systems with resilience strategies
Requirements include:
Advanced education in psychology, sociology, organizational development, or related field
Minimum 7 years’ experience in psychosocial support, organizational psychology, or humanitarian staff care
Fluency in English, fluency in additional languages considered an advantage
Up to 20%, dependent on Partnership Travel Guidelines
