Nakalema is currently pursuing a Master’s in Human Resource Management at Makerere University, expected to complete in 2021. She earned a Certified Professional Banker credential from the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services in 2019. In 2014, she received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Makerere University. Her earlier education includes UACE from St. Maria Gorreti SS Katende in 2009 and UCE from Our Lady of Good Counsel SS Gayaza in 2007.
Nakalema has worked as an Accountant at Asha Batenga’s Cakely Cafe, where she managed data entry, petty cash, and payroll. As a Finance Assistant at BF SUMA-Uganda, she prepared consignments, processed cash advances, and ensured timely bank reconciliations. Previously, she served as an Accountant at Netis Group-Uganda, overseeing partner financial reports and managing cash flows from various projects. Additionally, she supported payroll preparation and statutory remittances in her roles.
Nakalema started her career as an Accounts Assistant at Coffee at Last, where she ensured the accuracy of payment documents and supported financial reporting. She completed an internship at the National Forestry Research Institute-NARO, which provided her with valuable experience in finance.
Achievements:
Over the past three years, she has successfully processed accurate payroll for over 280 staff and contributed to timely end-of-month financial reporting.
Abilities:
Nakalema demonstrates strong time management and multitasking skills, allowing her to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
