Grant Writing Freelance for ALG Freelance NEW

ALG, a non-profit organization, is seeking a talented and experienced freelance grant writer to join our team. This remote position offers an opportunity to work from anywhere in the world while making a meaningful contribution to our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations providing grants in Africa.
• Develop compelling grant proposals that align with the missions and priorities of the target foundations.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data to support grant applications.
• Write clear and persuasive grant narratives that highlight the impact of our work and demonstrate the need for funding.
• Prepare and submit grant applications according to funder guidelines and deadlines.
• Track the progress of grant applications and follow up with funders as needed.
• Assist with grant reporting and evaluation activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, public administration, international development).
• 3+ years of experience in grant writing and fundraising.
• Proven track record of success in securing grants from foundations.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with grant writing software and online grant portals.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders and partners.
