NAPAD has been dedicated to improving water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) conditions for over 16 years. Through extensive technical experience, we have successfully provided sustainable access to safe and clean water, sanitation, and hygiene for both displaced persons and host communities in Somalia and Kenya. Our focus lies in bringing clean water, dignified sanitation, and effective hygiene practices to communities, schools, and healthcare facilities.
By providing access to clean water, children especially girls can attend school instead of collecting water, and parents, especially mothers, have more time to provide for their families.
NAPAD also constructs latrines and handwashing facilities among these vulnerable communities with soap and clean water to improve on their sanitation. Access to WASH facilities in schools also enables children to stay healthy and the access of dignity kits for girls allows them to concentrate on their studies and not miss classes.
NAPAD achieves this through rehabilitating and constructing water kiosks and shallow wells, installing solar-powered water pumping systems and water storage tanks, raising awareness about community hygiene, sanitation, and water safety, and distributing hygiene kits.
