Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding Coordinator.
Humanitarian Disarmamant and Peacebuilding is one of DRC’s core sectors, implemented through peacebuilding, conflict sensitivity and humanitarian mine action interventions. The HDP Coordinator will be based in Tripoli, Libya, with frequent travel to implementation sites across the Algeria-Libya-Tunisia operation and the coordination office in Tunis. This is a role for a senior practitioner motivated in capacity development, strategic planning and business development. The HDP Coordinator will lead DRC ALT Humanitarian Mine Action and Peacebuilding programming portfolio, identifying new opportunities, developing partnerships and strengthening technical capacities across DRC field teams and partner organisations. The HDP Coordinator provide technical supervision to DRC’s local partners’ and DRC direct implementation while leading on DRC’s HDP strategy and representation tasks to facilitate humanitarian mine action and peacebuilding operations. The HMA Coordinator will serve as the focal point for partnership-related activities, ensuring that all stakeholders are engaged and that operations align with DRC’s strategic objectives, particularly in the areas where mine action operations and peacebuilding are active and planned.
