Description of taskUnder the direct supervision of the Chief, Child Survival and Development, and in close cooperation with all programme sections, UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
1. Support to programme development and planning
2. Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results.
3. Technical and operational support to programme implementation
4. Networking and partnership building
5. Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
Qualifications/Requirements Required degree level: Master degree or equivalent Education – Additional Comments:A university degree in one of the following fields is required: nutrition, public health, nutritional epidemiology, global/international health and nutrition, health/nutrition research, policy and/or management, health sciences, nutritional epidemiology, or another health-related science field.
Required experience: 24 Months Experience remark:A minimum of two years of professional experience in a developing country in one or more of the following areas is required: nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management, or maternal, infant and child health/nutrition care.
Language skills:
Area of expertise: Development programme management Area of expertise details:Computer skills: Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), keen use of social media and networks. Use of statistical software such as SPSS is an asset.
