REQUIREMENTS:

Job Description:
As Manager of Wide Horizons Mountain Lodge Retreat you would manage the day-to-day operations of the accommodation business and estate including:
· taking bookings,
· overseeing adequate preparation of rooms prior to arrival,
· welcoming guests on arrival,
· taking payments,
· answering queries and supporting guests during their stay,
· checking out guests on departure,
· marketing the accommodation & growing occupancy & sales,
· overseeing road and fence maintenance,
· overseeing security,
· overseeing veld and game management,
· overseeing the maintenance of facilities and assisting with other tasks associated with the accommodation business and estate.
In this position you would manage 5 staff (two cleaners, two maintenance staff, a maintenance manager (indvuna) and a security guard) and report to the owners (Kim & Robin Roques). Since the occupancy levels of the accommodation are relatively low there will be quiet periods of a week or so where the focus of the work will be estate maintenance and improvement, with short periods of high occupancy where the focus of the work will be cleaning, guest check-ins, guest experience & customer care, guest check-outs etc with busy times being evenings and mornings especially on weekends (and other periods of high occupancy). You would need to be flexible regarding working hours.
