Job Vacancy: Key Expert 2 – Capacity Development
Location: Mauritania
Duration: December 18, 2024 – June 30, 2026
We are looking for a skilled Capacity Development Expert to support the vocational training and organisational development objectives of the Ministry of Vocational Training, Handicrafts, and Trades (MFPAM) in Mauritania. The role will involve close collaboration with the Team Leader and Key Expert 1 to drive capacity-building initiatives and monitor impact across project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support for Organisational Development: Assist the Team Leader and Key Expert 1 in achieving human resources and organisational development goals across all project work packages.
- Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions for technical and managerial staff, focusing on enhancing skills for effective staff capacity development within the MFPAM.
- Monitoring Support: Aid the Team Leader in monitoring the impact of the capacity-building efforts and project activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in organisational development, Technical and Vocational Education, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field.
- Language Proficiency: Mandatory C1-level proficiency in French and Arabic.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the Public Policy sector, Human Resources, or Organisational Development, with specific experience in the TVET sector.
- Regional Experience: 5 years of professional experience working in Mauritania.
- Development Cooperation: 5 years of experience in development cooperation projects.

- Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork capabilities to foster a productive working environment.
- Communication & Cultural Sensitivity: Effective communication skills and a socio-cultural understanding, with an emphasis on client-focused and interdisciplinary approaches.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
