Job Summary:
ECODIT is seeking a Director of Finance and Administration (DFA) for the anticipated “USAID Conservation through Economic Empowerment in the Republic of Congo (ROC)”, a potential five-year project that will help reduce the threat to Congo Basin biodiversity and forests resulting from extractive practices and lack of economic alternatives. It will do so by focusing on opportunities to support “green industries” that improve the well-being of forests, wildlife and rural dwellers at a scale sufficient to impact large areas and diverse populations.
Job Duties:
The DFA will support the Chief of Party in his/her responsibility for management of project administration, finance, accounting and human resources. S/he will be responsible for effective, efficient, and timely submission of financial reports and for ensuring that administrative, financial and contracting systems are functioning to support the project’s success. S/he will be responsible for oversight of a team of 10-20 persons who will be brought on board to manage the project. S/he also will work closely with the ECODIT Home Office (HO) Project Manager (HOPM), ECODIT HO Project Accountant, and other ECODIT support staff.
The DFA will be required to perform the following responsibilities including but not limited to:
Financial Management
Administration Management
The DFA will be based in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo and may be required to travel to other parts of the ROC for project implementation.
Qualifications:
While Nationals of the Republic of Congo are preferred, the position is open to those who meet the qualifications subject to USAID approval and authorization to work in the Republic of Congo.
