DAI seeks a Chief of Party for an anticipated $24 million USAID-funded program based in Zambia which aims to promote energy alternatives to charcoal with the goal of reducing deforestation and forest degradation in Zambian forests. This project will include activities with the private sector, governments and the civil society (including academia), in promoting access and uptake of alternative energy sources and ensuring the effective reduction of impact to local forests.
Responsibilities:Â The Chief of Party will be responsible for the technical leadership and field management of the project. S/he will oversee the long-term expatriate and local staff and short-term experts in achieving project results. S/he will undertake regular assessments of the broader political environment within which the project operates to ensure flexibility and rapid reprioritization of activities when necessary.
