Here’s where you come in:
As the Chief of Party, in line with the goals of the activity, you will improve and sustain the food and nutrition security of vulnerable populations through multi-year resilience food and nutrition security activities. This activity is a 5-year program worth approximately $100 million. You will be responsible for providing strategic vision, technical leadership and administrative oversight of the program ensuring compliance and project quality and will serve as the principal institutional liaison to the donor and local government entities.
You must have proven leadership skills managing projects of a similar size and scope with prior experience effectively managing USAID development activities. You must have experience working in Somalia or in a similar context, familiarity with the country’s social landscape, and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with host governments, donors, other donor-funded projects and stakeholders, local organizations, and partners. You must have demonstrated experience recruiting, developing, and managing staff, as well as experience managing programmatic and financial reporting. You must understand and demonstrate commitment to the importance of adaptive management, gender, and youth issues in development programming and within staff and management of the activity. This position is contingent upon funding and donor approval.
